Get Of Shadow and Light

The opening scene of a book is crucial in setting the tone and introducing readers to the story. It is the first impression that a reader gets and can either make or break their interest in the book. However, as I began reading, I was immediately confused by the opening scene. The characters’ names didn’t match up with what I had read in the synopsis, and I couldn’t understand how this scene related to the overall story line.

As the story progressed, everything started to make sense, and the characters and their relationships were slowly revealed. It turned out that the opening scene was actually a glimpse into the past, and how it is effecting their future.

This book was definitely not a slow burn, as promised in the opening scene. It was full of action, drama, and steamy romance right from the start. It was the kind of book that you wouldn’t want to put down, even for a second. And as I delved deeper into the story, I realized that the opening scene was a perfect way to grab the reader’s attention and keep them hooked.

The story revolved around forbidden love, fated mates, and a world of dragons, gods, and goddesses. It was a perfect blend of fantasy and romance, making it a perfect read for fans of both genres. The main characters, who were initially introduced in the confusing opening scene, started to grow on me as I got to know them better. And the friends they made along the way added depth and humor to the story.

One character, in particular, stood out to me – Axlan. He was like a father figure to everyone, always welcoming them with open arms and making them feel at home. He was one of the main reasons I fell in love with this book. His selfless and caring nature made him a beloved character, and I couldn’t help but root for him throughout the story.

In the end, I realized that the opening scene, although confusing at first, was a brilliant way to set the stage for the rest of the story. It was a clear indication that this was not going to be a typical slow-burn romance, and it gave a glimpse of the fantastical world that the characters inhabited. It was a clever way to pique the reader’s interest and keep them engaged until the very end.

So, if you come across a book with an opening scene that makes no sense, I urge you to keep reading. It may just surprise you and turn out to be an amazing read. And if you’re a fan of spicy romances with a hint of fantasy, then this book is definitely for you. Just remember to pay close attention from the very beginning, and you won’t regret it. Happy reading!
