Get Blood Bonds

I had no intention of finding a new Shadow Daddy, but then North Draven came into the picture. Possessive, obsessive, and willing to eliminate anyone who threatens his Bond with his shadows and dark creatures. Count me in. This book offers multiple points of view, allowing readers to delve into the personalities of all the bonds and gain insight into their thoughts about Oli. It’s a great way to learn more about the individual characters and their dynamics.

Oli, our protagonist, is a fighter. Learning that she was tortured in the camps to reveal the identities of her bonds at the young age of 14 was truly shocking. The plight of the other children who were similarly exploited and kidnapped is heart-wrenching. It’s clear that Oli endured unimaginable suffering to protect her bonds. As for the spoilers, Atlas’s seemingly perfect persona is revealed to be a facade. His family’s involvement in the Resistance sheds light on his complex character. The revelation about Oli’s torture for her bonds’ names on tape is distressing. The decision to bond with Atlas before Gabe is a source of disappointment, especially for those who have a soft spot for Gabe. The focus on North, Gryphon, and Atlas, with occasional chapters about Gabe and Nox, leaves some readers feeling neglected.

The mystery surrounding Nox and his bond is a compelling aspect of the story. Readers are eager to uncover the truth about his enigmatic character. Additionally, the anticipation for the promised “spice” in the series has yet to be fulfilled. The level of excitement and intensity falls short of expectations, leaving some readers feeling underwhelmed. Despite this, the book still offers an engaging narrative and complex characters that keep readers invested in the story.
