Get Slice of Desire
I did not anticipate becoming so engrossed in this narrative, assuming it would be a brief and light-hearted read similar to another book I had previously read by H.N. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the depth of the side characters’ impact on the main characters’ storyline.
Serenity, a wealthy 23-year-old, temporarily takes on the role of co-manager at Jo’s adult club to assist her cousin. Her co-manager, Emeric, is a 33-year-old former stripper. Despite their initial dislike for each other, they must work together to keep the club running smoothly. Unexpectedly, their relationship takes a spicy turn, incorporating BDSM and the introduction of a dominant figure. If this type of content is not your preference, this book may not be suitable. It is important to note that trigger warnings should be considered before reading. Although I skipped over the trigger warning, I was still able to follow the story. Throughout the book, Serenity finds her voice and relies on Emeric for support and stability.
The level of spiciness in this book is truly remarkable, it’s absolutely astonishing. The intricate details and flavors make me curious to try it sometime in the future.
The book offers a variety of themes, including strippers, sex clubs, and BDSM, which was a new experience for me. I found it surprisingly intriguing and even discovered some new interests to explore. I would rate it five out of five for its spicy content. The concept of sensory deprivation introduced in Slice of Desire was particularly fascinating, and it may even become a new kink for me (no shame).
The book’s unexpected depth and impact of side characters on the main storyline pleasantly surprised me, deviating from my initial expectations of a light-hearted read. The spicy turn in the relationship between Serenity and Emeric, incorporating BDSM and a dominant figure, adds a unique flavor to the narrative, although it may not be suitable for all readers.
