Get Seeking Beyond the Flames

Loss will be her friend.

Betrayal will be her follower.

And love will be her fight.

Despite failing to reread ‘Hidden Beneath the Embers’ beforehand, the story gradually unfolded with clarity. It became a captivating tale of self-discovery and self-love amidst darkness. Davyna’s struggles and emotions resonated deeply, leaving an unforgettable impact. However, be prepared for heartbreak, as the story delves into the complexities of relationships and the pain that can accompany them. Through the Davyna’s journeys, the novel emphasizes the importance of finding solace and support, reminding us that we are never truly alone.

The story takes place after the first book but what we learn in the opening chapters that time has affected everyone differently. An evil has plagued the land of the fae, causing abnormal behaviors and diseases, but where did this evil come from? During Davyna’s journey we discover secrets about her, her mother and father and the truth about Vaylner and who watches over the fae.

My favorite scene is when Dayna has finally taken to her role as Queen and is addressing her people after everything she has gone through/done and hoping they can (that she can) accept her past and hopefully move forward. The tears that followed my goodness. I could relate to Davyna in that moment, trying to be okay with who you are despite your past.

Please go read this series. It’s unbelievable. If you like A Court of Thorns and Roses, Throne of Glass, and humans turning off their emotions (While reading reminded me of The Vampire Diaries), paranormal, fates and gods.  Oh and did I mention the spiciness in this book 🥵 Let’s talk about the black out scenes that I desperately wanted to read, thank gods for the bonus chapter 😉
