I can start fires with my hands.
And last year, I nearly burned my world down.

Born a Zodiac child, I’m a Leo with fire powers slowly drifting in, and I’m out of control. One wrong thought or unbidden emotion will ignite the magic smoldering inside me, leaving destruction in its wake.

Though I’ve learned to take care of myself, I must rely on my aunt to teach me better control. Otherwise, I’ll get locked up in one of the state Zod schools—or worse, hurt or kill someone.

I wish that was my biggest concern.

I discover people like me are disappearing. Someone is kidnapping Zodiac teens, and I need to find out who and why. Because now, a target hangs on my back.

I’m afraid I’ll be next.

Get Leo on Fire

Leo on Fire by Heather Lee Dyer is the first book in the Zodiac Drift Series and it is a must-read for all young adult fantasy lovers. The story follows the journey of a teenage girl who is just trying to navigate her life after a tragic event, only to find out that she also possesses magical abilities.

At first, I must admit, I was a little confused about what was happening in the story. But just like any good book, after the first chapter, it all started to make sense. I was immediately drawn into the world of the Zodiac Drift and couldn’t wait to find out more about the characters and their abilities.

The magical aspect of the book is simply breathtaking. Dyer has created a world where magic is intricately woven into everyday life and it is truly a delight to read. The details she includes in her writing make you feel like you are right there with the characters, experiencing their adventures and challenges.

One of the things I loved most about the book was the main character, Alina. She is a relatable teenage girl who is trying to come to terms with a tragic event in her life. And just when she thought things couldn’t get any more complicated, she discovers that she has magic. Alina’s journey of self-discovery and acceptance is both heartwarming and inspiring.

As the story progresses, the mystery and suspense only intensify. Dyer has crafted a thrilling plot that will keep readers engaged until the very end. There were moments where I found myself holding my breath, wondering what would happen next. The twists and turns in the story kept me on my toes and I couldn’t wait to see how it would all unfold.

Leo on Fire is not my typical genre, but after reading this book, I am definitely open to exploring more YA fantasy novels. Dyer has created a captivating world filled with magic, mystery, and a dash of romance. I was completely hooked and couldn’t put the book down until I finished it.

Overall, I would highly recommend Leo on Fire to anyone who enjoys young adult fantasy novels. It has everything a reader could want – a relatable main character, a unique and magical world, well-developed relationships, and a thrilling plot. I cannot wait to see what comes next in the Zodiac Drift Series and I am already anxiously awaiting the next book.
