Get Ride with Me
In Ride with Me, we see a classic case of opposites attract with Ryan and Jane. Ryan is a local tattoo artist, and “bad boy” motorcycle rider with a heart of gold, but can’t stand tight up b*tches in the women’s group interfering with his business.. while Jane is a small business owner who is trying to keep up appearances for the town’s elite. But her store is right besides Ryan’s, who she can’t put up with. Maybe it has something to do with her clientele not liking this “bad boy”. But as the saying goes, opposites attract, and that’s exactly what happens in this charming tale.
One of the main conflicts in Ride with Me is the clash between Ryan and Jane, and the women’s group in town. The group is determined to get Ryan out of town, believing that his tattoo business is not suitable for their small and proper community. This adds an interesting element to the story, as readers get to see how the town of Fellside deals with change and differing opinions. But Ride with Me is not just about small town charm and romance. The book also deals with some heavy topics, such as grief and loss. Jane and her brother are struggling to come to terms with the loss of their grandparent, and the emotions and struggles they go through are portrayed beautifully in the book. This one hit close to home for me as I just lost my grandmother last October, it’s never easy to move on, some days I just want to cry and lay in bed, wallow in my self pity for a bit. But you know that your loved one would want you to live your life, so you push yourself to get out of bed and continue living life. The whole town came out to support Jane and her brother in this trying time for them. This sense of community and support is heartwarming and adds to the overall feel-good factor of the book. It also gives off a Gilmore Girls vibe, with its quirky characters and close-knit community.
Overall, Ride with Me is a quick and enjoyable read, with its spicy romance and small town charm. It’s a perfect book for those who love a happily ever after, and for fans of the Fellside Mountain Rescue Series who want to catch up with their favorite characters. It’s a bittersweet ending to a beloved series, but it’s one that will leave readers with a warm heart and a smile on their face.
